Edna Hazel Chapman

Savannah – Edna “Hazel” Chapman, age 78, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Candler Hospital. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a member of The Salvation Army Church for most of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carnell Steven Chapman and a son, Michael Wayne Chapman.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Smiley of Eden, GA and Beverly and “Jr.” Thompson of Midway; five sons, Frank S., III and Gloria Chapman of Eden, Ronnie Chapman, Dennis Chapman, Sr. and Charles Chapman, Sr., all of Savannah and Donald and Judy Chapman of Bloomingdale; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Chapman Thompson of Ellabell; a sister, Betty Walburn of Savannah; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive fiends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Maj. Henry Hunter officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
